An Evil Empire Wants Our Ports!
An evil empire, known the world over for support of the most horrific events in recent human history, wants to control our ports! We just can’t let this happen!
For instance, they started numerous coups d’etat to topple democratically elected governments! We’re talking big countries, like Iran, Bolivia, El Salvadore, Panama. Maybe even in the old USSR. How can you trust someone that will do those things to run our ports!
They support death squads, funded by illegal arms sales! And they were caught and let them go!
They invade other countries ignoring international law!
They have enourmous debt to communist countries!
What are we to do? I suggest that Switzerland run our ports. They are nice. What’s that? They don’t have any ports? Small detail.

I don’t think you realize that in your “dis-cription” as listed above:
You have just dis-cribed This Great Land we like to call the
UNITED STATES of AMERICA as operated by the recent Military Industrial Complex we were warned about by Pres. Eisnhower.
If your going to WHINE and CRY about this deal at least be inteligent about what you are trying to say.
Know that I agree, any deal with the UAE concerning PRIME US REAL Estate should ever be permitted.

Just Mike, it’s not a joke.
Let’s get something straight: our security is very important and let us not forget that we have domestic terrorists as well.
The US is known around the world not just as a ‘nice guy’, especially in the Muslim communities.
My point is to make us think, and unless our ports are secured it doesn’t matter as much who is actually running them. As an example, let us say a US based group wants to bring the US back into an isolationist, backwards, religious country. The easiest way for them to do this would be shut down international trade via the ports.
Just shutting the US ports for 2 weeks will shut down the global economy.
The Republicans have rejected every Democrat proposal over the last 4 years to increase the security for the ports. This is outrageous. We need 100% inspections of the cargo BEFORE it even gets to to the ports. Waiting to inspect it after the port has been destroyed won’t help us.
